A French Art Deco original hand carved off white / creamy alabaster nine sided bowl shaped pendant chandelier with angular border rim surround, suspended by a nickeled bronze armature and ending with an alabaster and bronze canopy.
This elegant alabaster chandelier with a modern, clean silhouette works beautifully in both contemporary and classic interiors. The off‑white nonagon alabaster coupe is finely carved with a wide surround having a soft scallopped edge at the bottom and a straight edge at the top and an unusual curved inset rim that subtly frames the form.
Delicate natural subtle veining, opaque and translucent specs appearing like tiny bubbles create depth and visual movement across the surface. The shallow, wide profile gives the fixture an elegant, floating presence, suspended from a nickeled bronze tubular stem and finished with an unusual matching alabaster and nickeled canopy. The interplay of the luminous white ground glows softly when lit.
This alabaster plafonnier / ceiling light has an appealing smooth semi satiny gloss surface sheen.

There is a small hairline fissure on the rim extending 2" down and a central branch fissure with a small yellowed area more visible when lit, miniscule flaws, light scratches as shown in pics. Commensurate with age and use. Rewired with six candelabra based sockets that can hold either incandescent or LED bulbs.
