A small gilt wall mirror w/ a hand-colored fashion plate in the upper register. The frame is finely patterned with repeated floral and foliate motifs, retaining a warm, aged surface with original decoration intact.
The print contains a period fashion illustration depicting women and children in mid-19th-century dress, hand colored and mounted behind glass. The lower section retains its original mirror plate with characteristic age-appropriate silvering, including light streaking and spotting visible from the reverse. Possibly French, but unknown.
