This stunning Paprika Vase was made by Upsala Ekeby, a Swedish company renowned for their gorgeous Mid Century Modern ceramic pieces. Designed by artist Anna-Lisa Thomson who specialized in nature-inspired works, this incredible sculpted vase features a glossy white leaf relief pattern against a brown matte earthen base with delicate details reminiscent of wood grain. Thomson's famous "Paprika" series was produced in Sweden in 1959. This is an incredible statement piece for a collector of fine art ceramics, couture pottery, or any lover of true mid century works. The bottom bears the following markings; UE | Sweden | 1079 | ALT.
