From the late … Read more This is an early modernist maple dresser designed by Russel Wright for Conant Ball in the 1930s. From the late 1920s through the 1960s, Russel Wright created a succession of artistically distinctive and commercially successful pieces that helped bring modern design to the general public. This solid maple dresser is an excellent example of Wright’s work. The chest has five dovetail jointed drawers with large elongated sculptural pulls. Signed inside the top drawer.

The 1930s era chest of drawers is in good used vintage condition. The solid maple construction is rock solid and will last for generations. Non structural hairline cracks on the bottom sides of the dresser. Scratches and water marks on the top of the dresser, and scattered wear on the body of the dresser. The inside of the drawers are very clean. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the dresser.
