19th Century Trompe l'oeil platter of Leon Brard with sardines on a rustic blue and white platter in the Rouen style.
In 1859 fascinated by the work of Avisseau Leon Brard set up in Tours to work in the Palissy style. First painter but multifaceted artist, Brard developed his own style on his ceramics and used his knowledge of the marine life.
