Pair of Art Deco lounge chairs produced in the 1940s in Italy. The chairs feature burlwood veneer on the armrests, which continues around the back of the backrest in a continuous curve. The frame appears to rest on a low platform base, emphasizing the structural geometry typical of Art Deco design. The upholstery is light blue fabric, covering both the seat and backrest. The burl walnut veneer on the armrests displays distinct wood grain patterns, contributing to the visual structure of the design. The base elevates the chairs slightly off the ground, giving clear visibility to the design lines. The chairs combine solid construction techniques with traditional veneer work from the period.
