The surface detailing is executed through a sgraffito technique—carved through a slip layer beneath the glaze—creating soft contrast and depth within the pattern.

A band of stylized ornament encircles the shoulder, leading to a subtly defined neck with continued incised detailing. The tonal variation in the glaze enhances the hand-worked character of the piece, with gentle movement across the surface.
