Presenting the 'big cheese' of bookends! Call it swiss, cheddar, queso or fromage...any way you look at it, these Italian alabaster bookends are fun and fabulous. The coloring of the alabaster is perfect for replicating large wedges of cut cheese...and the tiny little mice friends hidden in the cavernous holes are an unexpected touch of whimsy. Heavy enough to keep a collection of books in place...I think they would be fun in a kitchen to highlight your favorite cookbooks. Bon appetit!
Good condition with some signs of age and use including light wear to the edges of the 'cheese' and two lost mice on one wedge with example shown in photograph 12. The bases show remnants of old labels which I believe would say 'Made in Italy'.
Each bookend measures 4.75" tall x 4" deep x 2.5" wide.
