original fd 164 armchair by arne vodder in the low version, made in denmark, an iconic example of sculptural scandinavian mid-century design.

the armchair captivates with its softly organically shaped, sculpturally crafted armrests and harmonious proportions. The back view, in particular, showcases the architectural quality of the design.

the armchair has been completely restored and reupholstered to a high standard: the upholstery has been renewed and covered with a luxurious, fur-like textured fabric from sahco/kvadrat. This gives the classic design a contemporary, tactilely rich feel. A new dust cover has been installed under the seat.

the wood has been carefully cleaned and re-oiled or sealed, bringing out the natural grain beautifully.

condition: expertly restored – new upholstery, new cover, refinished wood, very good vintage condition.
