Lovely, airy carved wood corner display with 3 scalloped edge shelves: a single large shelf at midline and additional, smaller shelves at the top & bottom (see dimensions below).
The piece has more intricacy and detail than first meets the eye. Within the octagonal frame a silhouette of a large tree, anchored in the soil and adorned with maple leaves. Beyond, the wavy horizon line of the slope appears in the distance. Great care was made by the carver to no only present a geometrically balanced design but also to create a sense of depth and interest to capture one's attention. Ready to hang from hole in top leaf. No maker's marks.
Dimensions: overall, 19"W x 9.25"D x 26.5"H; each side 13"D along the wall; middle shelf, 15"W x 8.5"D; upper & lower shelves, 10.75"W x 5.5"D; clearance between lower and middle shelf, 8.75"H; clearance between middle and upper shelf 9"H.
Condition: Fair antique condition; displays very nicely. Structurally sound with material loss throughout.
