Exquisite, one-of-a-kind "Golden Eagle Head" hand carved wooden bust created by woodcarver David Wagner in 1991. The stylistic painstaking representation of a golden eagle is beautifully done! From the overall fine feather details to the superb headdress, all the way down to the beautifully curved beak and nostrils and continuing onto the realistic palate and tongue. The glass eyes are the finishing touch that mesmerize and draw you in. Stylistically carved to represent a southwestern-style Native American golden eagle. Hand carved from one block of wood; permanently affixed to the wooden base. Signature on the underside along with date. This handsome fellow measures as follows:

Overall: 14¾” x 7½” x 9¾” H/W/D
Weight: 7 lbs.

In excellent structural condition with age-appropriate wear that includes one minuscule chip to the tip of one of the headdress feathers on the back right that does not detract from its beauty and functionality. Please keep in mind that wood is an organic material, it shrinks across the grain with age so there is an indiscernible hairline split on the backside which I attempted to show in the photos but again, it’s so faint it can be missed (see photos ).

Hand carved rustic elegance, a one-of-a-kind showpiece that will complement most any discerning southwestern, cabin or lodge design aesthetic.
