The shaped kidney-form top above a central kneehole, flanked by graduated drawers and curved cupboard sections, the whole decorated with finely executed marquetry inlay depicting classical urns, floral sprays, and foliate motifs in satinwood and contrasting veneers.
The case raised on tapering legs, retaining original brass escutcheons and locks. The interior fitted with shaped shelves and compartments conforming to the serpentine outline.
Construction with solid secondary woods and veneered surfaces; drawer interiors with hand-cut dovetail joinery. Secondary surfaces finished in a red wash typical of Continental workshop production of the period.
Accompanied by matching chair with conforming inlaid decoration.
