This French stoneware bottle was likely used to hold medicine. The stamp on the underside identifies the maker as "Bourlon Freres Paris", a known manufacturer of stoneware in the late 1800s to early 1900s. In excellent condition, these heavy glazed stoneware bottles have become collectible for their provenance and history as an everyday item that were not precious but used on a daily basis. Now 100+ years later they still have a purpose as decor or vases.
