This model belongs to a distinctive series often referred to as “music furniture,” characterized by soft, flowing lines and a more relaxed domestic expression.

The frame is made of solid teak wood, valued for its durability, stability, and warm natural grain. The sculpted armrests and slender legs create a structure that feels light yet remains solid and well-balanced. A defining feature is the organic transition between the legs and armrests, giving the piece a cohesive and refined appearance without unnecessary ornamentation.

The wooden frame has been professionally and carefully restored by removing old coatings, staining and finishing with varnish. The restoration was carried out by a talented and experienced carpenter with over 20 years of experience. The backrest and seat were reupholstered in high-quality brown-beige fabric made of recycled cotton, wool, and silk. The fabric boasts an interesting and original texture. Thanks to these treatments, the armchair looks stunning and will serve its new owner for many years without fear of damage or wear and tear from everyday use.

The chair fits clearly within the Scandinavian Modern style—minimal, functional, yet inviting. Its ergonomically shaped backrest and generously sized seat provide real comfort, making it suitable for both everyday use and longer periods of sitting.

The Tenor stands out for its proportions: visually light and not overpowering, it integrates easily into various interiors—from living rooms to offices or reading spaces. The teak frame pairs naturally with upholstery, emphasizing the craftsmanship behind the piece.

It is worth noting that the design has sometimes been incorrectly attributed to Rastad & Relling, although no definitive confirmation exists, which is not uncommon for Norwegian furniture of this period.
