It is the first time we have it in our collection. It originallly appeared in a French magazine of the time. It is NOT a recent reproduction print. It features a floor length evening dress with a layered enveloping top that is off one shoulder. The playful muti-colored poka-dots are scattered throughout the billowing dress. This is a show-stopper for sure! The fashion print was illustrated and signed by Rene Gruau with his signature "g" initial. Gruau was one of the leading fashion artists of the 20th century. He worked with all the iconic designers in Paris...Chanel, Dior, Balmain, YSL, Balenciaga, etc. Gruau's work is highly collectible. It is frequently shown in museum exhibits and galleries worldwide.
