A very unique original artwork by contemporary British artist Dave Boyd, which has been constructed from discarded books (repurposed cloth covers, papers, cardboard, binding boards), and mounted on a wooden panel in a solid wood float frame.

This Dave Boyd work is a refined meditation on balance, material memory, and geometry, crafted from objects that once held stories, now transformed into something more abstract and contemplative.

In it we have a vertical alignment of four softly rendered circles anchors the piece, each one subtly distinct in tone. hey sit in perfect balance, like a totemic sequence or visual rhythm, guiding the eye gently downward.

The background is richly textured. Faded ochres, worn browns, and chalky whites create a weathered, timeworn surface. Horizontal marks and abrasions hint at handling, storage, and history. A visible seam across the middle quietly reveals its constructed, layered origin.

You can almost feel the past life of the materials which have been handled, read, discarded, and reimagined.

The artwork is presented in wood frame that suits it very well. It has been constructed with professional grade adhesive and is shipped with robust fixings, ready to hang. Both artwork and frame are in excellent condition.
