A Louis XVI style flat desk in solid mahogany, circa 1960, restored by our workshops.
The central top is covered in gray-beige leather adorned with stamped gilt fillets and a vegetal frieze along the edge. Two sliding side shelves, also covered in gilt-decorated leather, bring the total width to 230 cm (shelves: 2 x 37 cm, fixed width: 156 cm). The frieze is punctuated by five drawers arranged in two rows of three, separated by small columns and adorned with classical-style chased bronze keyhole escutcheons; brass fillets run along the entire crossbar. Four tapered and fluted legs, characteristic of the Louis XVI style, are embellished with brass rings and rest on brass sabots. The desk is entirely original in its structure; the leather on the top shows some minor, normal wear. Five new keys were made during the restoration; the locks are functional. The apron is 60 cm wide. Height: 75 cm. Weight: Approximately 60 kg.
