An antique French copper cooking pot with handle for suspending over the fire, dating to the second half of the 19th century. The exterior has a beautiful patina including a hammered texture by time and use, accented with blooms of turquoise verdigris. Look closely to appreciate the riveted seams that give a textural and industrial element to the design. Today the pot could be used for an attractive catchall around the home and hearth, as a planter, or displayed to admire this culinary relic–its aged finish will only improve with time.
