This mirror dates back at least to the 1920's if not slightly older. The glass has a floral etched pattern into the mirror across the top and drops down a few inches. The frame is wood and build up composition. and then has been gold guilted. And the best part, the entire history of the piece is documented on the back of the mirror. Complete with first purchase, change of hands, restoration, etc.. How can you let this one get away.

Provenance:
This mirror was purchased in the early 1920's by Paul D. and Ethel K. Walker. It was still owned by Ethel when she died in 1969. The frame is wood but the design at the top is in some other type of material. The original color was a dark brown or grey with gold highlights. It had a blue cord and tassel at the top for hanging purposes. It was in disrepair and had numerous chips and scratches. It was repainted in 1994 by daughter, Betty Jane Walker McKinney, using gold leaf paint and antiquing gel. Some of the flowerets were restored with wood putty. The mirror was re-silvered on the reverse side.
