Set of two "Siesta" armchairs with a bentwood frame and buttoned leather seat. Designed by Ingmar Relling for Westnofa, Norway, 1960s.
Pair of "Siesta" armchairs, designed by Ingmar Relling for Westnofa, Norway, in the 1960s. The frame is made of bentwood laminated with beech, with shaped supporting elements and visible fixings, characteristic of the product. The seat and backrest are made of padded cushions upholstered in leather, with buttoned capitonné workmanship, supported by a stretched canvas secured to the frame with laces. The design combines structural lightness and comfort, in keeping with the Scandinavian design of the period.
