Pair of rosewood and leather armchairs with tufted upholstered seats. "Capella" model by Illum Wikkelsø, Denmark, 1960s.
Pair of "Capella" armchairs designed by Illum Wikkelsø and produced in Denmark in the 1960s, an expression of Nordic modernism in its most mature phase. The rosewood frame is defined by clean lines and balanced proportions, with full armrests and carefully contoured surfaces that enhance the richness of the grain. The leather seats, with tufted workmanship and generous padding, provide a soft and welcoming contrast to the rigorous structure.
