White sprigging on solid blue oval … Read more Antique 18th century Wedgwood portrait medallion plaque - bust of Benjamin Franklin circa 1780. White sprigging on solid blue oval plaque. After an image created by Italian sculptor working in Paris, Jean-Baptiste Nini. Presented in early gilt wood frame. Measures 6" x 5 1/4" framed; 4 1/8" x 3 3/8" plaque. Good condition - wear to frame with white gesso showing through the gilding on the inner rim. Presents well.
