Crafted from pine and made in the Georgian … Read more Monumental late 19th to early 20th century English library breakfront bookcase cabinet. Crafted from pine and made in the Georgian style with classical design proportions and intricate carved motifs. The case features six locking astragal glazed windows set atop six locking base cabinet doors. The front of the case has decorative pilaster style columns atop plinths surmounted by a stepped corniced top centered with a Greco-Roman triangular broken-top pediment. The bookcase disassembles into six large pieces making the relocation easier in small doorways or staircases. Sourced by the late John Fleming of John Fleming Interiors. From an estate in Laguna Beach, CA. A beautiful piece with a desirable aged, warm pine patina finish. See less
