The vessel reflects the aesthetic of the Japanese Mingei folk craft movement, emphasizing functional form, natural materials, and expressive kiln effects.

The rounded jar is paired with a domed lid and retains its traditional bamboo cord wrap at the neck, originally used to secure a cloth seal over stored tea leaves. The interior reveals classic reduction-fired tenmoku glaze with visible throwing rings and kiln variation, hallmarks of high-temperature stoneware production. The base carries a calligraphic kiln mark in white slip.
