A vibrant and rare canary yellow cabbage leaf serving dish from the renowned Secla artistic pottery workshop in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal (circa 1960s).
This mid-century "Bonbon" dish is a masterful example of the "Trompe l’Oeil" style that defined the era's sophisticated garden-to-table aesthetic. Unlike the more common green variations, this bold, lemon-yellow glaze was produced in smaller quantities and is highly sought after by collectors of Hollywood Regency and Postmodern decor.
The dish (Factory Model P2518) features an organic, hand-molded form with sculptural scalloped edges and a unique loop handle formed by a curled stem. The high-gloss finish is meticulously hand-painted with white ceramic veining to mimic the natural texture of a fresh cabbage leaf.
