Elegant antique Italian engraving titled “Venere” (Venus), depicting the Roman goddess of love riding a chariot drawn by doves amidst clouds. This refined neoclassical composition is based on a design associated with Raphael of Urbino, reinterpreted by Agostino Tofanelli and expertly engraved by Giuseppe Bertigneni. A matching framed engraving of "Saturno" Saturn is also available in the shop.
Created in the late 18th to early 19th century, the work exemplifies the grace and balance of the Neoclassical period, with delicate linework and soft tonal shading.
