This decorative serving dish dates from early 19th C. England. Based on the single line patent mark on the back of the piece it was likely made between 1813 – 1820. It is a highly decorative piece; the combination of colors is stunning and the surface shimmers in strong light. The size, which is between a dinner plate and a dessert plate, means it was likely a smallish serving dish.
It is a fine and early example of English Ironstone influenced by the designs and colors of the Imari style.
