Dating to around the 1930s, it features a sculptural form depicting the bust of one of the most iconic figures in aviation history, Charles Lindbergh.

In May 1927, Lindbergh completed the first solo non-stop transatlantic flight aboard the monoplane Spirit of St. Louis, an achievement that earned him numerous honors in both the United States and Europe, as well as the title of “Man of the Year” from Time magazine.

A prominent figure not only in aviation but also in political life, Lindbergh was widely featured in newspapers worldwide, including in connection with the tragic kidnapping and murder of his infant son, Charles Augustus—one of the first cases to gain international attention, and often cited as an inspiration for Agatha Christie’s novel Murder on the Orient Express.

The money box remains in original vintage condition and is decorated on the reverse with a cursive engraving of the aviator’s nickname, “Lucky Lindy.” It features a small coin slot, consistent with the size of coins from the period.

It has been carefully cleaned without altering the original patina; the piece shows only minor signs of age and wear, as highlighted in the photographs.
