Executed in hand-forged iron, the fixture is designed in the elegant Louis XV taste, with gracefully scrolled arms radiating from a central standard and richly adorned with acanthus leaf and foliate motifs throughout. The twelve-light configuration is arranged over two tiers, creating a well-balanced silhouette with substantial presence and warm ambient illumination.
The chandelier retains a beautifully aged verdigris patina, complemented by hand-applied gilt accents that highlight the sculptural details and lend depth and contrast to the composition. Each arm is fitted with a scalloped bobeche, echoing the floral theme and adding texture and refinement across the design. The upper section is crowned with a stylized foliate finial, completing the piece with a strong architectural finish.
This antique fixture has been newly wired with faux candle sleeves and is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with minor wear to the painted and gilt surfaces consistent with its age. A striking and decorative statement piece, ideal over a dining table or in an entry hall.
