Traveling Man Treasures is selling this unique pair of Chinese guardian lions, commonly known as Foo Dogs or Fu Lions, which traditionally symbolize protection and prosperity. The female is shown guarding a cub (representing yin) and the male is depicted guarding a sphere/ball (representing yang).
These specific figures are made from hand-carved wood, and painted with gold, red, and black details. The decorative pair function as Feng Shui statues intended to guard the home or entrance. The statues were made during the 1940s-1950s, and are in good overall condition with normal wear and no structural issues.
