The lattice technique, called zanfirico (and formerly latticino), was developed in Murano in the 1800s, and it remains a hallmark of Murano and Venetian glass. The glass has a frosted surface, which is not commonly found. The vase is about 10 inches high and in excellent condition. Although this is certainly vintage, exact age is unknown, with other examples difficult to find. The zanfirico stripes with satinato (frosted) finish points towards 1950s-1960s makers like AVEM and Fratelli Toso.

The colors and style make this a versatile piece, which could also be corked and use as a bottle. It can work well in both modern and traditional interiors, and would make a special housewarming gift. See less
