Renowned for his "American Royal" style, Briard’s work was the height of luxury entertaining in the 1950s and 60s, sold exclusively in high-end boutiques like Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.

This piece features the iconic and highly collectible "Ambrosia" pattern. It showcases a sophisticated mix of stylized pineapples, citrus, and strawberries rendered in brilliant 22-karat gold leaf and crisp black enamel. The graphics are set against a textured, frosted "ice" glass that catches the light beautifully.

While standard Briard trays typically measure 15", this is the rare, "Grand" oversized version, measuring a substantial 19" x 15". It is in remarkable, excellent vintage condition. The 22k gold gilding is bright and intact with virtually no "rubbing" or gold loss—a rarity for overglaze glassware of this age. The tray is clearly signed in the signature lowercase "georges Briard" script. A stunning statement piece for a bar cart, coffee table, or a curated Mid-Century Modern collection.
