A quintessential example of the "Machine Age" revival, this 14-inch serving platter was designed by Kris Fiocca during the height of his Cleveland-based studio’s influence. While many of his contemporaries outsourced production to Italy, Fiocca famously kept his manufacturing domestic, favoring an "overbuilt" quality that gives his work a distinct, architectural heft.
Crafted from high-grade 18/10 stainless steel, the tray features Fiocca’s most recognizable signature: the perforated rim. These precise, graduated circular cutouts act as a visual "vent," cutting through the rigidity of the heavy metal to create a high-tech, filtered aesthetic.
Provenance Note:
This piece retains its original retail label from Domus, the iconic modernist design boutique. For collectors, this sticker serves as a pedigree, marking the tray's origin in a curated environment known for championing the best of 20th-century industrial design.
