The Lady chair won the Gold Medal at the IX Triennale di Milano, and remains a defining example of postwar Italian design innovation, combining sculptural form with pioneering foam‑and‑elastic construction.
This pair was reupholstered at some point in their lifetime, giving them a clean, updated look while preserving the unmistakable Zanuso silhouette: the floating seat, the softly arched back, and the elegant stance that made the Lady chair a mid‑century masterpiece. The current upholstery remains fully usable, though a future refresh would elevate them to their highest potential.
