A striking vintage Bay Keramik handled pitcher vase from West Germany, dating to the late 1950s to early 1960s. This petite sculptural form features a flared neck, rounded body, and elegant loop handle, finished in Bay’s signature matte ivory glaze with hand-painted abstract striping in black, chartreuse, celadon, and warm rust.
The playful modernist decoration gives this piece a distinctly atomic-era European feel, making it a beautiful accent for mid-century modern, postmodern, or eclectic interiors. Its small scale is ideal for styling as a bud vase, shelf object, bar cart accent, or layered ceramic vignette.
A wonderful example of early West German art pottery from one of the most collected makers of the period.
