This beautifully carved 14k gold Victorian signet ring has the image of an arm holding a sword, ready for battle. The ring’s symbolism feels like a rally call to action, with powerful “We ride at dawn!” energy. The band, however, is carved with a playful flower motif, suggesting that there is strength in beauty and peace, and that the path to victory does not have to be violent. Circa the 1880’s, the ring is entirely hand engraved. It could be worn as a talisman to help you summon your courage and get the job done.
A hand holding a sword a is classic heraldic motif often found in signet rings and referred to as Armor Embowed. It symbolizes power, protection, and justice.
Marked with a partial maker’s mark; acid tests as 14k.
The band is 7/16” at its widest point and 1/8” at its base. It weighs 3.65 grams.
Ring size 7; resizable.
