Rectangular mirror with a turned wood frame simulating bamboo stalks, forming a decorative motif characteristic of the Japonisme style that spread to Europe in the second half of the 19th century.
The frame is composed of uprights and crossbars imitating bamboo nodes, finished at the corners with turned finials evoking stalk tips. The overall effect is a warm honey-brown hue with an antique patina.
The back features a protective panel covered with a later decorative paper, which secures the glass.
