An attractive Chinese hand decorated ginger jar with its original charming top/lid. Figural with a wrap around scene which is richly enamelled. This jar reflects life in China - elders or tutors with boys offereing and serving tea and food - in their outside area with a background of trees and traditional rocks.
Ovoid body shape with upper and lower decorative borders. The style of painting reflects an earlier period of painting with good facial expression.
The underside is marked: with red square double bordered six characters: Qianlong Period Make. Very good condition, no chips or cracks.
