The design virtuously plays with geometry: the backrest forms a perfect wooden arch that almost protectively encloses the seat shell. In this particular example, comfort has been enhanced with new upholstery in a timeless gray, covering both the seat and back cushion. A particularly playful element is revealed upon closer inspection: the back of the back cushion is orange, providing a surprising splash of color and underscoring the graphic quality of the design. The white paint on the wooden frame shows clear signs of wear, giving this design classic an authentic patina and a charming vintage character. A unique feature of this piece is the rug protectors on the legs, added by the previous owners. While not original, these offer a practical advantage by raising the seat height slightly. If desired, these additions can be removed to restore the original, lower profile.
