This exceptional hand-blown massive piece of art glass features a dark cobalt blue inner core immersed in a thick aquamarine outer layer, creating a striking optical depth typical of the high quality Murano sommerso technique.

The form is beautifully balanced with a low, wide profile and a perfectly shaped inner hemisphere. The glass is heavy and massive, with a finely polished base.

Fine "seed bubbles" are visible within the glass mass - a natural and authentic characteristic of hand-blown Murano production from this period.
