This high chair with armrests has an austere and imposing style, identifiable as a baroque armchair dating to the late 19th century (circa 1880). The frame is made of solid wood with a warm, dark brown hue. The high back and seat are upholstered in burnt sienna leather. The leather displays an authentic patina with evident signs of aging, creases, and slight wear (the upholstery was likely replaced). The perimeter of the seat and back is finished with burnished metal studs, typical of this style, which secure the upholstery to the wooden frame.
