Antique Danish "Næstved" Brass Candlesticks. Set of 3.
Set of three baroque candle holders in solid brass from Næstved in Denmark late 18th century. These candlesticks are handmade in the Næstved area on the island of Sjælland in Denmark around 1780. The age shows on the threads that are hand cut. These have the characteristic wide hollow grove on the base and a profile that is wider at the middle which are signatures of the Næstved candleholders.
Two of these have a makers mark stamped on the base.
Height 16 cm.
Good vintage condition with wonderful patina consistent with age and use. One has a slight tilt.
