This freestanding Danish desk was made of solid teak, created in the 1970s. The furniture's design i san example of the late period of Scandinavian modernism, when designs became more simplified and functional, while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
The design is based on a simple, balanced layout – drawer modules are located on both sides, and the central workspace is slightly recessed and contoured, improving ergonomics. A distinctive feature is the solid, handleless wooden drawer fronts, which open with a pull handle, giving the entire piece a calm, uncluttered look.
The tabletop with rounded edges and slender, cylindrical legs reflect the aesthetics of Danish design of the period, where a combination of simplicity and refined detail was essential. The solid teak, with its distinct grain and warm tone, emphasizes the natural character of the piece.
This model is not clearly attributed to a specific designer or manufacturer, but very similar designs appeared in the offerings of Danish manufacturers such as Domino Møbler, H.P. Hansen, and Gunni Omann in the 1970s.
The desk is in good original condition with minor scratches and scuffs, as shown in the photos. These are most visible on the edges of the tabletop.
