In the manner of the "Old Saxon Chair" by English furniture maker John Starkey which was part of the Jacobean Revival in the late 19th century. Chairs feature turned spool arms, chip-carved geometric back splats, and triangular wooden seats joined by turned spindle stretchers. Carving designs vary slightly between chairs but are complimentary. The front legs are slightly taller on one chair, otherwise all dimensions and seat heights are the same.
