A superior and very high quality Russian Lacquer Box with two exquisite miniature snowy winter scenes - a traditional church with surrounding hamlet. The sunset in the distance lights up as it is inlaid mother of pearl. Glistens and gleams in the light. The level of work is superb - even the fine gold & silver borders.
Can be used for jewellery, as a gift or catchall, or added to a collection.
Dated 1999, Signed by Mineeva E. A. (ABT MNHEEBA E A.) Russian Cyrillic text.
This box originates from the famous Fedoskino area that is know for these pieces.
Condition is excellent, inside and out.
