This is a wonderful, handmade carved paper mache mask with lacquer and gilt detailing. Research indicates this is an Oni theatrical mask, used for performances, but we couldn't determine if this is a specific character. A very cool addition to any decor.

Measures 11.25"x 8"x 5.25". Wear and losses as seen in the well illustrated photographs, no loose pieces or repairs. Retains its two original paper labels to the reverse. Unknown if the longer vertical label contains a date. See less
