Larger Scale … Read more This Really is a Great Looking & Very Fine Quality Antique Wall Mount Brass Barometer. Circa Early 1900s. Larger Scale - Approx Measures 8 inches Tall Including Hanger Loop as Hung - Displayed. It has a Beautifully Detailed Porcelain Dial Behind a Thick Beveled Glass Front. The Dial Also Bears the Name of the Esteemed and Well Documented London Maker SHORT & MASON - Established in Approx 1875. It is in Very Nice All Original Cosmetic and Functional Condition - Displays Beautifully. No Damage.

Barometer Itself ( Case ) Measures 6 3/4 Long.

HOW TO SET - CALIBRATE THE BAROMETER WHEN IT ARRIVES.
The Back of the Case has a Hole that Gives access to a Small Screw that can Be accessed with a Small Screwdriver This Being Used to Accurately Set - Calibrate The Barometric Pressure at your Specific Location ( Screwdriver Pictured is Used to illustrate and Not Included With This Sale ). To Set the Barometer to Your Location First Determine the True Barometric Pressure at that Moment and Then Insert a Small Screwdriver. By Turning the Screw while Looking at the Dial you can Move the Hand to the Proper Barometric Pressure and then the Barometer Set. Next Step - The Beveled Glass Front has Another Pointer ( Gold Color ) That Can be Turned - Adjusted With the Small Brass Knob so then Rotate the Pointer So That it Covers - Is Directly Over the Barometers Hand. After That You Will be Able to Use it as a Reference Point as the Barometer Hand Moves - Changes.
