An evocative 20th century figurative painting that captures three loosely rendered figures in what appears to be a quiet interior passageway, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1979.

The central figure, seen from behind in a dark, almost silhouetted form, anchors the composition, while two lighter, more ethereal figures flank either side – one turned slightly inward, the other facing outward with a casual stance. The scene feels suspended in a moment of subtle interaction, where the narrative is implied rather than defined.

Executed in a restrained, painterly style, the work leans toward abstraction while maintaining a strong figurative presence. The artist has used soft, diffused edges and minimal detailing, allowing the figures to emerge gently from the pale ground.
