A charming 1950s–1960s Italian miniature oil landscape, beautifully set in an ornate Rococo-style Brass frame with a Brass chain.
This petite painting captures a romantic outdoor scene, detailed with delicate brushwork.
Hand-painted in oil on board or metal and it is protected beneath a convex glass.
Signed in the lower right (a common detail for these pieces), paintings like this were often created in Italy as decorative works or special keepsakes for travelers. Signature looks like LEIH.
These miniatures were often cherished as high-end "Grand Tour" souvenirs.
The back is covered in wine Velvet and is held in place with tiny brass brads.
I have not tried to remove the brads to determine if this is painted on wood or metal.
Based on the style and construction, this piece likely dates to the late 19th or early 20th century.

4 1/4" from bottom of frame to the ornate top.
