Original 18th-century hand-colored copperplate engraving by François-Nicolas Martinet, created for Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux (published 1770–1786) by Buffon. This antique French ornithological print features two bird species rendered in exquisite scientific detail with vibrant hand-applied color.
